As many of you know, Neil is quite the historian about the Civil War. I asked if he was there? He asks me questions about the Civil War and I say, "I musta cut that class...."

It is a battle of the Civil War, that has been forgotten or overlooked, until around 1965 when historians looked into the history and got the information and confirmed it as it took place. It started in Mo. Sept. 7th The Army of Mo. commanded by Gen. Price, crosses the Arkansas River at Dardanelle, avoiding immediate Union detection. Sept 17-19th Rendezvous at Pochantas. His men suffered greatly during their march in Ks Mo and Indian Terrotory. Their ranks have been decimated and no longer retain a fighting ability. Price will face charges of misconduct, but the war will end before any tribunal can convene.
